NCAA Baseball has the College World Series, Football has the BCS, and Basketball has the Final Four. Now bass fishing is poised to launch it's own Collegiate Championship.
The unveiling of the College Smash-Mouth Bass Series will be the bellwether of an idea that has been a long time coming. Cultivating BASS into the behemoth that it is today, we are excited to start at the grass roots with an event that could rival any college sport.
We know there are many college students bass fishing across the nation. As it stands they are not represented across the sporting world as well as the bass fishing landscape.
The College Smash-Mouth Bass Series is going to change that.
In mid-October, the first College Smash-Mouth Bass Series event will feature six college teams from across the country. The teams will be fishing a neutral body of water that will challenge the know-how and the skills of all involved.
The two day event will include three matches. Each match will be four hours in length. The winning team will be determined by a cumulative weight at the end of the third match.
Before the first series begins, plans are already being laid for the second series.
If your school wants to get in on the ground floor of something that promises to be very special, send an email to info@collegebass.com to get involved.
This is the opening of a door that has the ability to change the sport of bass fishing.
