SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 27, 2024) – The Association of Collegiate Anglers recently contested its first event of the 2024-25 season on the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series.  $40,000 in prizes & contingencies were on the line as nearly 600 anglers competed in the no-entry-fee Bass Pro Shops Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley on Kentucky Lake.  One of the many contingencies up for grabs was T-H Marine Atlas Awards.

Carter Nutt from 3rd ranked University of North Alabama claimed the tournament contingency bonus.  At the first major event of the ACA’s historic 20th season, T-H Marine Atlas Awards paid out $200 to the highest-placing eligible angler.

Carter won Day 1 Session 2 presented by Bajío Sunglasses with a bass weighing 5.40 pounds.  In the final overall tournament standings, that bass placed 9th.  The Top 10 finish by Carter made him the highest-placing T-H Marine Atlas Awards eligible angler.

Anglers competing in Association of Collegiate Anglers events in 2024 are eligible to register for T-H Marine Atlas Awards.  To qualify for the tournament contingency bonus, anglers must register prior to the event and run a T-H Marine ATLAS Jack Plate.  Anglers that are registered for Atlas Awards will be eligible to earn $200 at regular season events, and $500 at the Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops.
