Earlier this summer, Wabash Valley College lost a member of its fishing family and 2023 recruiting class as high school angler Eli Newberry passed away in a car accident.  Eli was set to be a high school senior this fall and had already signed to attend WVC and be a member of the bass fishing team starting the fall of 2023. The local community and the college fishing scene quickly rallied together to organize a memorial tournament to benefit the family.  The Eli Newberry Memorial Tournament was contested on August 13th and raised a total of $10,000.  Listen in to the latest episode of the Rapala #WeAreCollegiateBass Podcast as we talk with WVC Head Coach Todd Gill, and team members Hunter Capehart, Mason Gross, and Carter Smith to remember Eli and discuss the memorial tournament.
