The race for 2022-23 Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia is entering the stretch run. Just under two months remain before a number one team is crowned for this season following the conclusion of the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops at Lake Hartwell.

Since June of last year, hundreds of the nation’s top collegiate bass fishing teams have been competing in dozens of events across the country, vying to earn points and be ranked inside of the Top 25 for the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia. This season, the University of Montevallo is looking to make college bass fishing history by becoming the first school ever to the win the title three straight times. HOWEVER, is there a team out there that can crash Montevallo’s party and surge up in to the standings to claim the number one ranking? This is the question that we attempt to answer in our latest YouTube video.

ACA Managing Director Kyle Curry takes a look at the latest standings for the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia and analyzes it from three different perspectives: -What team outside of the Top 10 can realistically move up into that coveted spot? -Is there a team outside of the Top 5 than slide in to the conversation for Top 5 teams in the nation? -Outside of the main contenders, is there a team we’re not yet watching that can jump up and claim the number one ranking?
