San Antonio, TX (9/7/2024) – The new school year is underway, which means it’s time for a new season of collegiate bass fishing. To kick off the new season, the Association of Collegiate Anglers is debuting the results in its 4th annual pre-season poll for the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia. This feature article will highlight teams that were voted 6th – 15th by college anglers, coaches, and media members.

Campbellsville University
Lander University
LSU – Shreveport
Bethel University
Drury University
Murray State University

The Association of Collegiate Anglers is set to begin its 2024-25 season on the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series in just a few weeks. Leading up to that event, the ACA will be revealing the results for its 4th annual Pre-Season Poll. This article is showcasing and breaking down teams selected 6th – 15th.
Leading the pack, in 6th, is the University of North Alabama. The team from Florence, AL finished last season ranked 2nd overall in the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia. UNA is also a two-time School of the Year winner (2014, 2015).
Another past title winner is featured in this group. Bethel University claimed its one and only School of the Year title in 2018.
The 10 schools featured in this rankings reveal for the Pre-Season Poll are comprised of elite teams. Every team ranked 6th – 15th to start this season finished last year ranked inside of the Top 20. Each team has been picked inside of the Top 25 for the Pre-Season Poll at least once prior to this year. Eight out of 10 have been ranked in the Top 25 of the Pre-Season Poll for each of the four years. Here are those teams:

Each of the 10 teams in this rankings reveal have a realistic shot at winning the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia during the 2024-25 season. With eight out of the 10 having never finished the season ranked number one before, they will be motivated to make history for their college fishing program.
