SAN ANTONIO, TX (May 19, 2024) – The Association of Collegiate Anglers recently contested its first event of 2024 on the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series.  Close to 450 anglers competed at Lake Hartwell in Anderson, SC for more than $20,000 in prizes and contingencies.  One of those contingency programs that was available to qualified anglers was the G2 Gemini Jerseys Tournament Contingency.

Nick Owens & Quade Lobo from 10th ranked Adrian College earned the G2 Gemini Jerseys Contingency bonus.  The anglers each earn a $100 G2 Gemini Jerseys gift certificate, for a total additional payout of $200.

Owens & Lobo finished in 3rd place out of the 220 boat field of elite college anglers.  After weighing in 17.50 pounds and being in 5th following Day 1, the Adrian College anglers weighed in a five-bass limit for 14.90 pounds on the final day of competition.  Their Day 2 limit helped them to climb close to two spots, from 5th to 3rd, which was good enough to claim the G2 Gemini Jerseys Tournament Contingency.

The G2 Gemini Jerseys Contingency is available at all ACA events during the 2023-24 season.  The highest finishing angler/team, where one or both anglers are wearing a G2 Gemini Jersey, at each ACA event will receive a G2 Gemini Jerseys gift card.  In the case when the highest-finishing G2 Gemini Jersey wearer is a two-angler team, each angler wearing a G2 Gemini Jersey will receive a $100 Gemini gift card, for a total payout of up to $200.  If the highest-placing finisher wearing a G2 Gemini Jersey is an individual angler, that angler will receive a $100 gift card.
