SAN ANTONIO, TX (June 7, 2023) – On May 25-26, the Association of Collegiate Anglers contested its 18th BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops.  College fishing’s longest-running National Championship event paid out over $30,000 in prizes and contingencies.  One of the major contingencies awarded at the conclusion of the event was Garmin Tournament Rewards.

As the winner of the event, and being the highest placing Garmin user, Tucker Smith claimed the $500 Garmin Tournament Rewards.  Tucker Smith, along with his fellow teammate Hayden Marbut, won the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops with a two-day total weight of 35.24 pounds. The two anglers representing 2nd ranked Auburn University ran a herring spawn pattern out on Lake Hartwell, using a combination of jigs, drop shots, and topwater baits to sack up the winning fish.

Garmin Tournament Rewards is a contingency bonus designed to reward anglers for using Garmin products and placing well in competitive tournaments.  To be eligible for the $500 cash prize, an angler must be the highest placing Garmin user at a qualifying Garmin-sanctioned event. The boat must be equipped with 1 or more Garmin fixed-mounted marine electronics or trolling motor.  Qualifying electronics include Garmin GPS units, fishfinders, combo units, chartplotters and trolling motors.  See complete rules and list of qualifying events at garmin.com/en-US/rules/GarminMarineTournaments/.

Garmin Tournament Rewards is awarded at all Association of Collegiate Anglers events.  Find out more information here.
